You like Sun Ra...you have great taste in music!
I have his "Cosmic Tones for Mental Therapy" and "Art Forms of Dimensions Tomorrow", as well as his "The Magic City." His stuff is amazing. I was once under the influence of some magic mushrooms, and was listening to my roommate's Sun Ra cd. The music sounded three dimensional...I felt like the song was about a giant furry caterpillar moving slowly. It sounded like a musical holograph! Then the cd player randomly skipped to the next track...which was the digablel planets, and they sounded flat, it was like being stuck again in flat land after traveling on a wild three dimensional caterpillar. Sun Ra is a trip!
